Threading Insert

Threadcutting by model engineers tends to be performed at low surface speeds, in conditions that are not the most stable (small or slender components and small, low powered machines). For this reason, our inserts are made of rugged, tough High Speed Steel. However, the inserts are then coated with Titanium Nitride. This gives them extremely high wear resistance, and enables clean cutting with superior surface finishes.
