These rugged HSCo Guhring GU500DZ drills give the user a single drill solution for a wide range of applications including non-ferrous metals, high tensile steels, stainless steels, cast iron, cast alloys and aluminium.

Two key characteristics of the GU500DZ drill are its flute design and point geometry. It has a deep open radius flute profile that reduces chip packing and improves chip flow away from the cutting edge. The four facet split point geometry reduces the force requirements at the leading edge of the drill thereby making a freer cutting drill. The four facet point also helps centre the drill and can eliminate the need for pre-drill spotting operations.

The set comprises one of each drill from 1.0 mm to 10.5 mm by 0.5 mm increments, plus the extra tapping drill sizes 3.3 mm (M4), 4.2 mm (M5), 6.8 mm (M8) and 10.2 mm (M12). The drills come boxed in a tough metal presentation case.
